Ross Carstens Ross Carstens, President, Owner:

Ross grew up on a grain and livestock farm in West Central Iowa.

Ross graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a double major in agriculture and began his commodity career with Farmers Grain and Livestock's advisory service as a general market analyst and broker in 1979. He later became their head feed grains analyst.

In addition to contributing to a weekly newsletter, Ross has written for Successful Farming, Drovers, and numerous other farm magazines and provided market commentary for several national newspapers, local newspapers, and market advisory services.

Ross joined Commodity Services, Inc. in 1992 as an equity owner and member of the Board of Directors. In 1998 Ross became the President and is now the sole owner of CSI. Currently his time is split between the home office in Des Moines and his farming operation in West Central Iowa.

Rich Albaugh Rich Albaugh: Rich was born and raised on a grain farm in Central Iowa. He has an Ag Business Degree but got his education managing cooperative elevators in Iowa.

Rich was in the cash grain business for 10 years, and has been registered as a commodity broker for the past 25 years.

Rich carries a large clientele of ag customers, but also has experience trading with softs and financials. His trading has become more technical the last few years, but he still respects fundamental analysis.

Robert F. Anderson Robert F. Anderson: Bob was first licensed to do commodity brokerage work in 1961. He has been involved in various areas of the industry, including work at the Chicago Board of Trade and the Kansas City Board of Trade as a cash grain and feed ingredient merchandiser, owner operator of a cattle feedlot, and until 1992 was founder and President of an agricultural research and consulting firm that provided hedging and marketing advice to thousands of farmers and ranchers nationwide. Bob also supervised the brokerage division of a company that had 75 IB offices across the country.

Today, Bob is responsible for the activities of the affiliated IB offices. Bob has been licensed as an Associated Person, Commodity Trading Advisor and Commodity Pool Operator, and brings over 45 years of hands-on experience to his clients.

Robert J. Codner Robert J. Codner: Bob was raised on a farm in Northeast Iowa. He has an Associate Degree in Animal Science. Bob has been a livestock specialist since 1974 spending most of his time consulting and communicating with cattle feedlots across agricultural America. His clients include some of the largest commercial feeders in the country. He has conducted numerous marketing seminars for the National Cattleman's Association, and is a member of the Texas Cattle Feeder Association and Kansas Livestock Association.

Bob has been registered as a commodity broker since 1980.



Kevin Penner Kevin Penner: Kevin was born on a wheat farm in Kansas but was raised in Marshalltown, Iowa. He graduated from the Drake University College of Business in 2003.

Kevin is the technology specialist at CSI. With today's markets being primarily traded electronically, Kevin has focused on these platforms and uses the extended hours and volume to maximize market opportunities. Kevin has over a decade of customer service experience and is committed to developing long-term full service relationships with his clients. You can hear Kevin regularly as a market analyst on WHO 1040 AM.

Sherri Ryan Sherri Ryan: Sherri was raised on a farm in Marshall County, Iowa., and attended Drake University in Des Moines. She began working with a securities and commodities firm in 1962 placing security and commodity orders as well as logging all executed orders and activity.

In 1992 she joined the CSI staff working as Compliance Officer and Operations and Audit Supervisor for the home office as well as numerous other branch and affiliated offices throughout the country. In the early 1980’s she conducted compliance workshops on various regulatory issues involving the newly traded options on futures. She was instrumental in developing an audit program used by the company to provide backroom assistance and compliance with all commodity regulatory issues.
